Jeremy Ravenelle Publishes Paper on Conservation with Colby College Professor

2017 Nov 30

Associate Professor of Environmental Studies Philip Nyhus has collaborated with students in recently published papers. "Global patterns and trends in human-wildlife conflict compensation," coauthored with Jeremy Ravenelle '18, appears in the December 2017 issue of Conservation Biology, which is the flagship journal of the Society for Conservation Biology. The team "reviewed research on wildlife-damage compensation to determine geographic and taxonomic gaps, analyze patterns of positive and negative comments related to compensation, and assess the relative magnitude of global compensation payments."
