Alexandru M. Plesa Named to Dean's List at Colby College

Alexandru M. Plesa of Craiova, Romania, was named to the Dean's List at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2016-17 year. Plesa is one of 417 Colby students -- or 23 percent of the student body -- to qualify for the Dean's List this semester.

Plesa, a member of the Class of 2017, attended Sfantul Sava National College and is the son of Cristian and Cornelia Plesa of Craiova, Romania. Plesa earned a semester grade point average of 3.77 or higher this spring to be included on Colby's highly selective Dean's List. He majored in biology with a concentration in cell and molecular biology/biochemistry and chemistry.
